Seafloor Drill-related projects have formed the bulk of Cellula’s activities since 2007. Projects include:
- Canyon Offshore – development of two seafloor geotechnical drilling systems
- British Geological Survey – tool-changing manipulator development
- (Undisclosed) – downhole geophysical tool development
- Seafloor Geoservices Inc. – development of a drill-mud delivery and mixing system for remotely operated subsea coring drill
- Geomarine – marinization & integration of remotely monitored CPT sensor
- Seafloor Geoservices – preliminary design of landing system to land seafloor drill in rugged terrain
- Perry Slingsby Systems Inc. – design and provision of robotic components for subsea coring drills (tool arms, footclamps, carousels, wireline winch, telescoping legs)
Geotechnical Systems
Cellula Robotics has been working on rock-cutting robots for the terrestrial mining sector and the subsea excavation and trenching sectors since 2001. Projects include:
- Fukada Salvage & Marine – subsea excavator deployment and operation
- Geomarine Ltd. – design of a subsea shallow-water cable Trencher
- Geomarine Ltd. – conceptual design of custom subsea installation equipment
- Perry Slingsby Systems Inc. – design and production analysis for rock-wheel integration to Canyon T750 Trencher
- Nautilus Minerals Inc. – analysis of subsea rock-cutting data for sizing of robotic excavation equipment
